BURMESE LANGUAGE

The Burmese language is one of the Sino-Tibetic languages. It is a living language with ISO 639 code [mya].

Burmese is native to Bamar people. This language is distributed in Myanmar and Thailand. The total of speakers is about 43'000'000. The Myanmar script is used for writing.

BURMESE DICTIONARIES

Multi Linguis offers 3 types of dictionaries - Original, Learner's and Small.

The Original Dictionaries are alphabetical, while the Learner's and Small are frequency-thematic.

The Original and Learner's Dictionaries can include up to 12'000 lemmas. They are divided into 8 importance levels from Beginner to Upper-Intermediate (corresponding to the CEFR levels A1-B2), as well as 300 vocabulary themes grouped into 30 superthemes.

The Small Dictionaries are sets of vocabularies of related languages, each includes up to 999 lemmas.

Entries in any type of books contain translations and transliterations. In the Learner's and Small Dictionaries they additionally provide transcriptions.
